This coloring page, a light-hearted, fast paced affair, depicts Sonic running along a wavy forest trail towards umbrella-bending, giant mushrooms. Bendy stems, spotted hats, floating spores and floating pebbles provide texture and a powerful vanishing point gives movement a shove. Each detail, i.e., sonic, path, caps and stems, grass tufts, rings, and spark motes are divided with bold and neat lines thus avoiding shape filling using color, which is bleeding. The art is on a clean white background in vertical A4 format with ample open spaces to fill in with smoothest of the marker fills and space to shade, highlight and give glow effects. It is set up to be friendly to kids, but still rewarding to more mature artists who want to add random layers/depth and lighting.
The method of coloring How to color Color Sonic is royal blue with peach/tan muzzle, inner ears, and arms. With a trashy white folds, soft cool-gray gloves; with an intensely red shoe, a sharp white shoe strap and a light-gray line edge on the sole; with a green eye buzzing, a straining line edge. Colour the mushrooms in strong colours--crimson-coloured or orange tops with little white specks on them; a faintly darker shade of them close to the edges, and a clear white underneath. Paint stems with warm beige and cook to give warm shadows of brown and slight adjustment of reflective color of the cap. Include fresh greens in grass and a sandy brown path, there is a pale gradient of sky-blue that includes the tallest cap which adds depth. Speed lines should be really light (blue-gray) in order to keep Sonic in the spotlight. Rings are most attractive in deep golden tints with smooth highlights of powdery yellow, and cool shadows of amber. Apply a soft neutral-gray shadow under Sonic and lastly, use a white gel pen to add some sparkles of cap spots and jagged edge shines of the quills and shoes.
