Racing Sports Car colouring sheets: These pages take you straight onto the tarmac: lowrider supercars blasting off the grid and their noses plunging into the chicanes, their tires chewing out the corners of the bankings and the night city lights flashing by in the background. Choose a two/three color team livery (ex. crimson/white/black or neon blue/silver/neon yellow) and replicate it everywhere; stripes, numbers and sponsor panels to achieve a pro appearance. Mask the body color smooth, and shade it down along panel edges, underside the door, the underside of the spoiler and around wheel wells; leave only a razor-thin stripe of white near the top of the roof and around the hood hoodline and fender curves to simulate the glossy effect. On windows, dark at casting locks in bottom to lighter mid-tone halfway to the dash to give a gradient in the glass; put a small white line on the glass to give it a shine. The headlights are splashed in cool gray bases and hot spots of white; taillights are understated in layers of red with a warm rim. Tires work best in warm gray, a cooler gray shadow; darken tread and soft oval shadow under each wheel to ground the car. Asphalt is gritty: mid gray with speckled dots; paint turns curb strips to red-white and blend the background banners a bit to hasten. Allude to carbon fiber with a diagonal cross hatch on the splitters, or on mirrors. Markers do well on bold flats (body, sky, barriers) and colored pencils work well on shading and reflections, as does a white gel pen on pin highlights, rivets and motion streaks.
