This coloring sheet depicts the competition between Sonic and Shadow as they both run at each other on a futuristic track. The two hunch forward and surge forward like powerful machines on the heels of speed lines and trash that whip about them. The background suggests the setting to be a science fiction city and rails and rails with glowing edges which bend and curve into the background. Any form-characters, track, rings, sparks-are defined by strong, clean outlines, to make them easy to fill. Shadow has jet black fur and red stripes on quills, arms, eyes (bold and bright); muzzle peach/tan; gloves white with gold cuffs; hover shoes red, white, black and a yellow accent. Track rails may be neon-colored, cyan, magenta or lime, with a white center bleeding to the color, then followed by a pale halo. Rings ought to be deep gold in color with yellow highlights and a shadow of amber. To ensure focus is on the racers, keep speed lines light blue-gray; when their outlines are in contact with glowing elements, use rim-light.
