Then start by staining the mushrooms with natural colour deep reds and brown or pale yellow and creamy white stems. In case of hummingbirds, bright jewel colours such as emerald green, sapphire blue or magenta will make them visible. Insert the colors of grass and lights beige / gray of the forest ground. One can have sky blue background (run down) or plain on the left to emphasise the main subjects. Gradients on the feathers of the birds and slight blending on mushroom caps done with coloured pencils. One can use a white gel pen to be a little glittery on the wings and dew drops to create more magic.
