🔹How to Color
Start with more soft greens of the ferns where light and dark color is used to make depth and texture. Tint the mushrooms with warm earthy color red, orange or brown on the tops and as creamy beige on the stems. Add dark shadows at the foot of the ferns to render a down to earth appearance. Mix the black and dark of colors with colored pencils or watercolour pencils. In order to gain that effect of natural background, apply soft strokes of pale blue or mossy green. Background You are also welcome to keep the background white to create a clean elegant appearance. Put white highlights on the tops of mushrooms so that they appear fresh and moist.
