Bluey Building a Sandcastle at the Beach
📇 Print Page

On this sunny day beach coloring page, Bluey builds her sandcastle tall with turrets and walls and lots of stairs, she wears a sun hat and is busy digging a moat with her own tiny shovel, with the clean outlines ready to be filled with strong crayons or marker fills. Simple molds about her--a pail, a starfish-shaped buck, and scattered seashells--beg creative patterns and colors, and soothing waves passing the shore are smooth curves that look perfect in soft blues or aqua hues. There are some fluffy clouds floating in the sky alongside a smiling sun and there is much white space where the children can insert their own beach umbrellas, beach footsteps or a boat on the horizon that could be seen far away. The background of the art contains a low dune with beach grass, and the seagull in the sky brings an element of a seashore. A very light border of wavy motifs and dainty little shell silhouettes surrounds the scene without overpowering it, leaving young artists the space to decorate the castle with flags, draw friendly crabs, or draw their own treasure emerging out of the sand. As all the details are left blank, and all the distractive text is absent, this page leaves children an opportunity to re-create Bluey and her friend building a sandcastle in the blistering sun-one fun color at a time.
