This coloring page is full of action and playful approach to the theme as Amy Rose is depicted as she runs, flailing her trademark Piko Piko Hammer over her head in search of Sonic who went in a spiral path. Sonic turns around in a combination of surprise and velocity, and the chase is highlighted by rings, motion lines and scattered pebbles. Its background has some light Green Hill-style (palm trees, checkerboard cliffs, looping paths) touches, but it does not distract the focus on major action. Sonic ought to be royal-blue in brightness with peach/tan muzzle, inner ears and arms; the shoes deep-red with a white stripe and the soles of light-gray. The rings that are more successful work in deep gold with light yellow notes and amber shadows. Make grass greens, checkerboard cliffs golden-brown, dark brown squares in the checkerboard cliffs and water turquoise. Leave motion lines light gray blue so as not to overpower the character. Add rim-light on places the sun is shining on quills, shoes and edges of the hammer, then create the shimmers on the rings and the gleam in their eyes with a white gel pen.
