Waterfall Valley With Overgrown Jungle Ruins

This colouring page helps one visualise a magnificent waterfall valley that lies deep into an ancient jungle with stone ruins that have long since been forgotten now being captured by nature. Cliffs rise up to surround the falling density of water whence it descends into an unstirred pool beneath, vines are hanging over broken pillars and over shattered stone doorways. The ruins are covered by thick jungle vegetation that includes wide-leaf plants, hanging ferns, roots, and vines as well, wrapped around the stones that have been carved and corroded over hundreds of years. The lines are thick and generous to colour and the small details in stonework, vegetation and water also provide visual richness and complexity to those who not only love the visual complexity of page after page but also relish a challenge. Open spaces in the waterfall, the sky, and bigger leaves provide an opportunity of incorporating blending and shaded styles. The writing encourages the imagination and telling of storeys, either by imagining the explorers uncovering the ruins or just being able to relax and experience the beauty of the nature without human influence, this page provides an relaxing and thrilling experience in colouring.

🎨 How to Color
Start with the fall using light blues, icy whites and soft greys. Begin light at the top and deepen upwards towards the bottom. Sideways squiggles downwards to produce movement. When approaching the cliffs, the shades should be darker in cracks and those under ledges, so that the cliffs seem to be darker brown and tan to softer grey. Stone colors, warm in substance (sand or gray as well as mossy green), should be used to color ancient ruins and emphasize any carvings and jagged edges with the richer value. The plants in the jungle should be of a variety of greens: the dark ones should be used in the deep shadows and the bright ones, in the sunlit settings. Being able to be varied in adding touches of yellow, teal, or olive. The vines and roots are a combination of both brown and green to indicate age and moisture. To create the feeling of warmness and glow, vaguely mix warm colours, orange or gold or paler yellow around the waterfall mists or horizon. Lastly, shadows under the plants and rocks to make the scene grounded and to make the valley so life-like.
