T-Rex Climbing a Rocky Hill

Here is an adventureous prehistoric image in capturing a moment of advent when a keen T-Rex mounts a steep rocky hill, angling its body forward in a great ascent. The dinosaur has strong, clear edges that emphasise its body musculature, expressive face, and solid legs and ensures that the areas of coloration are broad and accessible. The rolyed hill has steep line slope and angular forms that make one feel like he is up but without excessive detailing. There is use of scattered rocks to give texture whilst the background has drifting clouds that are sketched using smooth lines to keep things simple. On the horizon there is a slight but significant introduction of a volcano which contributes depth and aura to the picture without taking focus off the scene itself. The overall composition is vibrant and clear and is thus suitable to all colorists whether old or young since it captures dynamic poses of the dinosaurs in clean and easy to paint backgrounds.

🎨 How to Color
Start with the earth colours on the T-Rex, all the green, brown, dimreds, or greys are good. Darker colors under the belly, along the legs and under the tail to indicate depth, but to show the sunshine at the top of the back and head. The steeper lines may be darkened to contrast with light hues when the rocky hill is greys, browsed, or tan. The volcano in the background can be tinted with dark greys, dark browns or dark purples, and you can have fire-like highlights on it should you wish to make it seem like it is erupting considerably. Clouds are supposed to be light, white, light blue or deep grey, and the sky can be loaded with warm colour gradations of blue or warm sunset. Shading and flowing lines along the hill crests will be used with caution to improve the perception of climbing and uphill altitude.
