The main character of the dynamic coloring page - Sonic is in the middle of a leap as he pursues a series of increasingly meandering rings floating into the open air. Composition is diagonal thrusting across a foreground-to-distance sphere-with movement accented by incidental clouds, micro islands, and arrows of gusts. Clear, thick lines maintain separation of all feature, including Sonic, path of rings, cloud puffs, sparks, and stepping stones, which are easy to occupy. Speed lines curl around his back, and one or two broken pebbles beneath his push-off foot help to give zest and power. This is displayed in a white background with a vertical A4 strip but with very generous open spaces between items to allow for unhindered fill with markers and clear crisp edges of things so that little artists may perform, but with abundance of space to add depth of shading, glow and rim-light effects to those that prefer to work with a more mature finish.
How to color Make Color Sonic bright regal blue; his muzzle, inner ears and arms are peach/tan. Gloves--bright white; soft cool-gray folds; shoes, deep red; clean white strap and light-gray edge to sole. Put springing green into his eyes and leave a small highlight of white. Colour the rings dark gold: leave a central pale yellow/ white, shade to warm amber along the edges and surround them with a thin halo, which gives the impression that they are glowing. Arrange clouds as white as possible with soft shadows of blue-gray below; make the sky light blue near the horizon, then darker blue toward the top. Stones of floating islands perform quite good as warm gray or sandy brown with new green caps of grass. Keep speed lines quite thin (blue-gray) so Sonic would still be the center of focus and place thin rim-light on his quills and shoes where the ring glow is landing.
