Norwegian Forest Cat in a Snowy Forest coloring page
A still grand Norwegian Forest Cat against wintery landscape of a forest with a chance to have both the natural atmosphere with all its beauty and flair of cats.
The Norwegian Forest Cat in a Snowy Forest coloring page makes a statement about the aristocratic pleasantness of the Norwegian forest cat, one of the most wonderful breeds on the planet, in its wild snowy environment. Norwegian Forest Cat is adaptive to cold weather and is characterized by thick double coats, bushy tails as well as ears with tufts; a trait that is captured in this scene. The cat hangs proud on a log covered with snow with pines towering over it and covered in fresh snow. Branches are covered by icicles and light snowflakes fly in the air making the landscape touchingly magical. The line work is detailed and perfect in conveying the rich texture of the fur of the cat, the harshness of the tree bark and the smoothness of snow drifts.
How to color Start with a combination of warm-brown, grays or creamy-white to the fur of the Norwegian Forest Cat and create darker shading in the back, tail and face to give it a dimension. Software, fur-like texture on pencil can be used to improve on thick coat. In the snowy wood, use cool colours--icy blue, pale gray and soft white--for the snow and lake blue shadows where the snow bends. Shade the trees in dark greens like pine needles and add some white to appear that there is snow on the branches. Touch very lightly with the sky so it is pale blue to tints of lavender or pink to give sky a chilled, winter sunset. As to snowflakes, they need not be coloured but should be lightly shaded in off-blue. The colored pencils are good to blend gradation in a snow area, and sharp edges of ice and snow can be highlighted with gel-pens or white marker.
