🔹How to Color
The mushrooms are a place to begin with, colour the tips in red or orange or brown and the stems in creamy beige. Dot with white or add whimmy. The colour of shades of leaf leaves can be provided in layers of light and dark green, which is natural. In the case of the caterpillars, bright and cheerful colours, such as green, yellow or blue colours are to be used with small patterns or stripes to make them conspicuous. The background is done in soft brown or olive to suggest the forest floor. Coloured pencils are excellent to merge the texture of the leaves whilst markers are ideal in accentuating outlines. Final look should be with soft shadows in order to get depth and realism.
