Begin with the armor of Megatron- metallic neutral grey and gunmetal and silver on his body. Darker tones are used in the shadow coloring, the light gray or white highlights on the edges should be emphasized to get a reflective metal effect. His eyes and cannon power are to be of a bright red or purple, which is an allusion to Decepticon power. In the case of the Energon Core, swirling up the dolls with glowing, radiant blends of blues, pinks and purples result in a shining, radiant centre. The surrounding energy streams may be passed out to softer colours such as cyan and magenta to create a plasma effect. The background machineries can be darker grey or black in order to show the bright Energon light. Pencils or markers of smooth metallic gradients should be used with light highlights added with neon or gel pen. The outcome will be a power-laden image with a lot of contrast energy, and that is exactly what Megatron is in: the hunt to fulfil his power needs.
