Harry and Professor McGonagall in a Transfiguration Lesson coloring page
Harry and Professor McGonagall are learning Transfiguration in a Hogwarts classroom--excellent place to learn some magic coloring fun!
We enter the Transfiguration classroom of Professor McGonagall and Harry Potter stands in front of a polished wooden desk with teachers wand raised in hand, eager to change a fat teacup into a fine butterfly. The line-art drawing captures the pose of McGonagall standing next to him with her straightened pointed hat and robes swaying as she looks at him with a warm supportive smile. The tall windows behind them show the stone battlements of the tower and the shelves are crowded with curious objects awaiting transfiguration: eggs, spoons and woolly scarves in the carving of the simplest curves. Magical swirls of sparks leap between the tip of Harrys wand and the teacup giving squiggly hook patterns and blank areas where crayons or markers can be used. The tiles and decorations on the chalkboard in the classroom offer expanses in which to paint big washes of color and texture, whereas the quill and inkpot on the teachers desk and the delicate embroidery on McGonagall cuffs offer more detail to be filled in with the usage of color, possibly appealing to the more mature colorist. The picture is framed with the simplest lines, leading all generations of artists who give this amazing lesson life with their own, bright palette.
