Explorer Discovering Hidden Jungle Statue

This colouring page gives visual representation of an exciting and dramatic scene when an explorer enters a rare jungle space and finds out an old statue, which is partly covered with bushes and plants. The scratches and Indistinct carved symbols and pitzal aggravated stone surfaces of the statue are some clues to an unknown civilization that the nature reclaimed. Reading around the scene, there are heavy-thick growths of plants; broad leaves and ferns and climbing vines, and hanging roots, that encompass the scene with jungle fragrance. The nature of the explorer with his hat, pack, lantern or torch looking up at the enormous figure portrays a sense of scale and mystery. Heavy, unmistakable lines render each line easy to colour, and a broad expanse of open areas is left to explore possibilities of creative shading, gradients, and texture additions. It is a balance between complexity and simplicity of the composition whereby there is enough details to be a challenge to anyone with experience in colorism, and easy enough to be understood by beginners. This scene of adventure now calls to storey telling, to imagination and hours of leisure in the realm of colourful pleasure.

🎨 How to Color
Start with the clothing worn by the explorer in the earth colours; browns, tans, olive colours, or dull khakis. Shade lips, lapses and equipments darker in order to add depth. The jungle statue may be painted with greys or mossy green or stone colour worn down with cracks and carvings; darker colours may be mixed in cracks and worn out to give them an aged and ancient appearance. Insert some green strokes to depict a moss or creeping vine. In case with the rest of the foliage, green should be applied in a very broad variety--a darker shade where there is shadow on the leaf, and a lighter one when it is exposed to the sun. Plants that are going towards the foreground can be brighter in richness whereas the far away leaves can be a bit cool-toned to lend depth. When the scene uses the lights of lanterns or torch, the warm tones of yellows and oranges could be gently shone all over the ground, the leaves and the surface of the statue. Add shadows under plants, stones and behind the explorer so as to cement the scene and make it dramatic and adventurous.
