📇 Print Page

The coloring page with Dancing Pumpkins in a Parade is full of the spirit of a boisterous autumn celebration. Just think of lots of smiling jack-o-lantern people, all with kidding faces, and they are twirling and dancing and marching along an apparently happy parade. There are banners, others are drumming or waving their leafy arms, festive floats and falling autumn leaves form the background. The design is a combination of Halloween cuteness and the feeling of community celebration which makes it a heavenly Halloween choice between the children and adults. The figures of pumpkins in bold shapes provide an easy layer to paint especially the background items such as instruments, flags and parade decor prices. It is kind of entertaining to be in the spirit of the season and incorporate your own personal touch of colors.

The coloring. Start by painting the pumpkins with a saturated orange and apply darker orange around the sides to create a realistic look and painted yellow within their hollowed out smiles to provide an effect of light. Make some striped, spotted or mix with greens in order to have different personalities in pumpkins. The parade floats and banners can be filled with a vivid reds, yellows and purples so that the scene has the feel of a carnival atmosphere. The ground should be painted with earthy browns or gray cobblestones with a few hues of red, gold, and orange falling leaves. Instruments such as drums or trumpets can also be painted in metallic colors such as silver and gold. The backdrop sky may even be allowed to remain light blue in daytime parade, or the sky may be changed to a darker tone in a glowing evening party. The pumpkins will appear dynamic with bright and goofy coloring that will make the parade appear literally lively.
