Bunny drinking water by a Pond
📇 Print Page

The colouring page titled Bunny Drinking Water by a Pond illustrates a peaceful moment in the scenery when a shy rabbit goes to the ground to drink water in a very small and clear pond. The beauty of the bunnies is enhanced with reflections, ripples and the details in the vicinity such as lily pads, reeds or tiny flowers in this woodland setting. The design also provides easy contours to young children to have fun, but has an ample amount of natural features that can expose older children as they develop skills in shading, reflection and water effects. It is an interesting exercise that promotes creativity, patience and observation of animals doing what they are doing most of the time in their naturals. This page is welcoming to children to turn the outdoors in with their imagination in order to enjoy springtime, nature lessons, or a peaceful afternoon of coloring, whatever they can think of to do.

🎨 How to Color the Page

Begin with fur of the bunny in domesticated shades of grey, brown and white--accented by pink upon the ears and nose and the cheeks. In the case of the pond, light blues and turquoise with a mild ripple in dark colours depicting the depth of water is used. Add drapes of white or pale blue in order to create reflections. Lily pads and reeds of shades of green, and flowers of any number of colours, such as yellow, pink, or purple, optional. The ground around can be tinted with natural brown and greenery and the sky can be blended with gentle blue to form the natural scenery. Crayons would be excellent to fill a wide area as well as water or sky, fine details e.g. ripples in the pond or fur texture on the bunny can be highlighted by means of coloured pencils or markers.
