🎨 How to Color
Begin with roughly natural greens of trees and leaf-folds: dark green is to be used as shadow-colour, and otherwise the green is generally light, or yellow-greens. Apply shades of brown and grey to the tree trunks and forest floor and mix them with things that suggest the touch of mossy green as it is natural. Bumblebee must be colouring his usual bright yellow with black spots--have metallic silver or grey in places of mechanical work. Lighten shades on his armour so that he appears thoughtful in the diffused light. In the background combine warm colours with cool ones, so that it is full and at the same time open in the areas where the sunlight enters. Coloured pencils or markers are excellent- pencils are used so that you can mix well and markers are used to make the colours of Bumblebee come out bright. Still on Bumblebee, avoid having too forcible colours on the forest though so that the hero can shine against the backdrop of the trees in his covert operation.
