📇 Print Page

The Bengal Cat Climbing a Tree Branch coloring page allows one to feel all the wild lust and playfulness in this exotic type within the exuberant outdoor scene. Bengals are a breed of cats with sleek, muscular bodies and beautiful coats that could be described as leopard-like and here we can see our cat mid-climb on a sturdy piece of tree branch with its tail curled to balance it out as it looks down warily on alert. The background contains leafy foliage composed around the branch, and we can make out a glimpse of distant forest or the sky in the background. The elaborate linework highlights the rosettes in the fur of the cat, the roughness of the tree bark, and the lushness of the layered leaves, and so it is ideal when a person wants to combine the animal beauty with the natural surroundings. This page brings a balance of active motion and still nature, which would be suitable to relax and being creative during a coloring process.

How to Color. Start by layering the golden-brown or orange color warmly in the coat of the Bengal and infuse the deep dark brown or black in the rosette spots and stripes. Blend lighters on the belly, inside of legs and around the muzzle to achieve a realistic effect. To the tree branch, various hues of browns with some gray added can develop the illusion of old worn bark, and deeper colors applied to cracks in the tree add dimension. The leaves may be tinted over in varying shades of green--olive in shade, and lemon in sun--and even some yellow-green ones to vary. It may either have a gentle blue sky containing slight traces of white clouds in the background or a forest that fades giving it some depth. Fur blending would be done with colored pencils and fine-tip markers are great to define edges of the leaves and the details in the bark.
